21 year old International Showjumper, Charlie Jones from Lutterworth, Lecestershire, a recent Young Rider Nations Cup team member GB.
Charlie has a great string of horses and is a dedicated and enthusiastic young professional. Nephew to Olympic Gold Medalist, Nick Skelton, Charlie trains alongside Nick and Laura Kraut at Ardencote Farm, their home in Warwickshire. He is often travelling the world with his Uncle and the horses.
Charlie has been having a great year in 2020 so far including 2nd in the 6 yr old Grand Prix & 2nd in the 2* Grand Prix on his horse Dexter out in Fountainebleau.
In 2019 Charlie took an impressive one-two for Ardencote Stud with Dexter XI and Gerko III respectively in the Voltaire Design Under 25 British Championship Qualifier which took place at Addington Equestrian.
The Eilberg Family
World Class Dressage
The Eilberg family are a dressage dynasty led my father Ferdi Eilberg. Based at their Worcestershire home, Ferdi, wife Geri and their children Michael and Maria have many years experience and are hugely successful in the dressage world.
Michael Eilberg, GB International Dressage rider has achieved some incredible results including, Winning gold at the 2011 and 2012 World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. Team silver at the World Equestrian Games in 2014, plus placing 8th in the Freestyle final. Team silver and bronze at the FEI European Championships in 2013 and 2015.
Maria Eilberg is a highly successful International dressage rider who was British Under-21 Champion 4 times. She was National Champion with her horse Two Sox in 2008 and part of the silver medal winning teams in 2009 and 2010 at Windsor and Kentucky respectively. Maria continues to compete at the very highest of levels alongside her brother Michael.
Ferdi Eilberg was leading dressage rider from Germany and has achieved a team silver medalist at the 1993 European Dressage Championships. He has been selected to train the Russian team ahead of the 2020 Olympics in Toyko and has previously been the team trainer of Ireland. He is also a former World Class Performance Director of Coaching to the British Dressage team and was dressage trainer to the British Three Day Event team at three Olympic games.
International Dressage Rider
Chloe Vell is an 22 year old international dressage rider, based in Cheshire. She trains with Carl Hester and has twice represented Team GB at the European Championship as a young rider. Chloe is also an international model since the age of 13.
Aimee Jones is a 15 year old national and international showjumper based in Shropshire. She currently jump 3 horses, Zoverla, Quintus WZ and Leo VII up to 1m40 level and her 148 pony, Wots Up Dot, up to 1m35. Aimee has competed for Great Britain in the Children On Horses nations cups in Austria, Belgium and The Netherlands. In 2019 she was selected for the British team, with her horse Zoverla, to compete in the European Championships where they won a bronze medal and Aimee finished 8th individually out of 120 competitors. She also qualified 3 ponies and a horse for HOYS where Aimee took 5th and 6th place. She also came 5th in the 138 final at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead.
This year, Aimee has qualified 2 ponies for the Winter JC Championship where she finsihed in 8th. Aimee also gained the ride on Leo VII who is a very exciting prospect! She told us “I am aiming to jump him in the Foxhunter Second Rounds and the Junior Trials next year. My pony, Wots Up Dot, whom I feed the gastrosafe supplement due to ulcers, stepped up to jump the European Pony Trials and she also qualified for the Leading Pony Showjumper of the Year Final where she came 9th”
“Zoverla stepped up to jump my first 1m40 Junior European Trial where she came 3rd out of a strong field of horses and riders. She also qualified and came 9th in the Silver League Final at Aintree. I feed Zoverla the Agility supplement and she has felt amazing since starting it.”
“I feed Synovium supplements to my horses and I am very impressed with the difference it has made. In particular, my horse Quintus WZ, who was difficult to keep in top condition due to ulcers. Jade Ellery is an International dressage rider, based in Canterbury and is repensented by Piaffe Sport. She trains with International dressage rider, Jackie Sui in Oxfordshire after previously being based in Spain and Florida where she won the CDI Junior Rider Freestyle at the Florida International Youth Dressage Championships in 2017 as a Junior.
Rebecca is a full time physiotherapist and full time amateur event rider based in West Yorkshire. She competes with her home produced Irish sports horse Stilo Springtime (Fergal to his friends!) at British Eventing Intermediate/ Advanced Intermediate level (nationally) and CCI*** (Internationally)
Guildhouse Sport Horses
Lisa Smith is 38 years of age and has been competing in British Eventing since 2004. Lisa now runs her own business Guildhouse Sports Horses after spending time working for Internatioanl Event Riders. Her first placement as a working pupil landed her in an idyllic training ground as she was based with Tim Rusbridge at the home of Jayne Nicholson (Andrew Nicholson’s Ex wife), Sammi Mcleod was also based at this yard in Wiltshire at the time so the lessons she learnt were invaluable. Lisa decided to branch out on her own after developing her skills as a rider through other placements with riders Nick Campbell, Lucienne Elms and Dee Hankey. Lisa has produced some lovely horses and is going forward into 2021 with a nice team of horses . Lisa also runs Stable Equestrian an Equine Media Company and has experience in sales and marketing and the all essential PR. Please feel free to go and say hello to Lisa and her Team at the events.
Lisa specialises in re training ex racehorses and working with problem horses and thoroughly enjoys the rewards that this can bring in knowing she has given that horse a chance in life. As well as training horses she is a UKCC level coach in showjumping and after moving to Scotland is developing a great client base and is enjoying seeing her clients grow and improve weekly.
Lisa was a national gymnast from the age of 7 years old to 18 years old and competed all over the country and was part of the Lancashire and North west squads. Lisa has great experience in training and coaching and has done from a very young age due to her early gymnastic career.
Susan and Ronald Smith -Lisa’ parents have supported her in the venture of Stable Equestrian and have continued that all important support and financial backing to enable her to start Eventing professionally. Ronald originally served his time as a farrier before moving into the family farming business then into lecturing for Blacksmithing at Myerscough College, therefore has always been around stock and is superb at field management. Sue has extensive health and nutritional knowledge due to her 25+years of service at Croston Corn Mill feed merchants . Sue enjoys this aspect of the business and is always on hand for advice and prides herself in keeping the horses in top condition.
Gemma has been riding for as long as she can remember and has had a very successful career in ponies and young riders British Showjumping qualifying for various classes at HOYS and the Royal International. Gemma also represented England and GB on many teams. She won individual silver and team gold at the pony European Championships too.
Lilli Fiddes 14yo Showjumper from North Devon. “I have 4 amazing ponies and I’m showjumping obsessed…I love the adrenaline it brings”
Lilli starting riding at the age of 5, she is now competing her ponies upto 1.20m level and her 2021 goal is to compete at HOYS. “Like most showjumpers my age, my dream with Flo is HOYS so I’m aiming for the Pony newcomer championship 2021”
Rosie is a 16 years old eventer. She currently competes up to Novice level on her bay mare Zee and at BE90 on her grey gelding Prince.
Rosie told us “Zee is currently using the calmingard syringes which has proved beneficial to her, keeping her stress free when out training and competing.”
Showing inhand & Ridden
Sophie competes in the veteran showing classes, ridden and in hand, at county level and local level, with her lovely tb x section D, Prince.
Sophie & Prince have qualified for STARS champion of champion! WELL DONE!
ND Sport Horses / Showjumpers
David together with his partner Nikki Davies, run ND Sports Horses, based in Warwickshire. Horses are taken on competition, breaking or sales livery, and are produced alongside their own team of quality showjumpers.They pride themselves of finding the right horse for the right rider. David has successfully competed upto Grand Prix level with a string of horses for several owners.
