Synovium was developed by the leading FEI Vet, Drs SHL Donker DVM and his team in 2006 after struggling to find a supplement brand, he could recommend to his clients, which was effective, scientifically proven, veterinary trialled and competition legal. The team at Vetmarx BV has undertaken extensive work to provide a complete range of horse health products that you can trust.

Synovium supplement range can be purchased online on our website or from many equestrian retailers and online shops. Visit our stockists page for further details.

Horse supplements are nutritional products designed to support areas such as joint health, digestion, behaviour, hooves, skin, respiration, and performance. They work by providing essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbs, and other active ingredients that may be lacking in a horse’s diet.

Not all horses require supplements, but many benefit from support depending on their workload, age, diet, and health conditions. Common reasons include joint stiffness, digestive issues, behavioural stress, hoof weakness, or competition demands.

Synovium provides a range of horse’s supplements, for both the professionals and everyday riders. It is important to feed your horse the correct supplement for his needs, so we recommend getting in touch with our expert and friendly team to discuss your horse’s requirements / issues. We also recommend seeking advice from you vet too. Our full range can be viewed on our website by searching the supplement categories.

This is a common question and without a clear answer. Every horse is individual and there are many factors which can contribute to this answer. We often see supplements not being fed for long enough before determining if they have helped. Our vets recommend 4-6 weeks for joint and gut supplements, however others such as our Airplus Liquid can see results in 1-2 weeks. If you would like to know the recommend time for a certain supplement, please contact our team who will be able to advice accordingly.

Yes. Please contact us if you require further advice on which supplements are best fed together.

Consider your horse’s age, workload, behaviour, health challenges, and goals. If unsure, ask your vet or contact the Synovium’s leading vets and nutrition support team.

High-quality supplements from reputable brands such as Synovium Horse Health, are safe when fed at the recommended dose. Always check ingredients, quality standards, and competition rules if you compete. Consult your vet if your horse has existing medical conditions or check with the Synovium vets.

Synovium understands the importance of clean sport and trust the supplements you feed. All our products are competition legal and safe under FEI and Jockey Club rules, except one supplements which require 48 hr withdrawal: Biobute.

Synovium supplements are available in a range of sizes. Smaller tubs ideal for trials and short-term supplementation and larger tubs for ongoing supplementation or multiple horses. (Larger tubs work out cheaper per daily dose)
