Sandoil 369 Psyllium for horses
Synovium Sandoil 369 has been specially designed by our team of vets to support horses with sand in the gut.
Psyllium for horses is 25% more effective when combined with omega oils. The Omega Oils enhance the swelling capacity of the Psyllium Husks, thereby improving their beneficial effects. With the combination of Omega Oils and Psyllium Husks, a smaller quantity of Psyllium Husks is needed to deliver the required support. Additionally, the pelleted form facilitates the horse’s consumption of the complete dosage, resulting in a more efficient and effective product.
Synovium’s unqiue formula will help support horses who graze sandy areas. Psyllium is made from the seeds of the Plantago plant. It is a fiber that can help support intestinal function.
Nutrients are absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. For this the gastrointestinal tract must be free of substances that impede absorption such as sand.
Kaolin is an absorbent clay mineral that helps absorb excess water in the intestinal tract. Therefore, this ingredient mainly provides support to horses with watery manure.
Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide which supports and aids the function of the immune system of the horse. It also has a positive effect on digestion and regulates the release of sugar, helping to prevent sugar highs, which can have a positive effect on the horse’s behaviour.
When to feed Psyllium for horses?
Horses on pasture in areas of sandy soil are at risk of accumulating sand in the colon, leading to conditions such as sand colic.
How much psyllium per day for horses?
Horse and pony: in case of sand in the intestines add 150g (3 scoops) of Sandoil 369 to the feed daily for 21 days.
It is recommended to add the supplement to the horse’s feed once a month for one week to prevent sand accumulation. If there is sand accumulation in the intestines, it is advised to administer the supplement daily for one month.

FEEDING GUIDE
Horse and pony: in case of sand in the intestines add 150g (3 scoops) to the feed daily for 21 days.
For maintenance every month 50g (1 scoop) twice daily, for 7 days.
Foal: in case of sand in the intestines add 50g (1 scoop) to the feed daily for 21 days. For maintenance every month 25g (1/2 scoop) twice daily, for 7 days.
The 1.5 kg jar contains 2 treatments and the 4.5 kg contains as many as 7 treatments!

Great product, sorted out my mare with Sand Colic, advised to use from the vets and has made a big difference. No re – occurring Sand Colic since.
